Seve's legacy
Real Novo Sancti Petri was the first course designed by Severiano Ballesteros in Spain. This is where it all began
Where the legend began
In 1990, Severiano Ballesteros signed in Novo Sancti Petri his first golf course in Spain. A layout designed to thrill, challenge and endure. Here he not only designed fairways and greens: he left a way of understanding golf that can still be breathed in every hole.
The footprint of a genius
From the first stroke with a wild olive tree stick to his bid to bring the Ryder Cup, Seve turned this place into much more than just a course. Today, his vision lives on in every round, in every player, and in the royal soul of Novo Sancti Petri.

Seve's soul remains in every stroke
An eternal bond with Novo Sancti Petri
When Seve got to know the terrain he knew he was in for something special. It reminded him of El Saler, but with views of the Atlantic and an unspoiled environment. He personally designed the first 27 holes of the club, integrating strategic bunkers, pine forests, lakes and challenging greens. His goal was not just to create a course, but a complete golf experience.
“Modesty aside, this is one of the most classy courses in Europe. It has its own personality and demands intelligence and skill in the golfer.” – Severiano Ballesteros
