The Real Novo Sancti Petri Iberostar Golf Club, an icon of golf in the province of Cadiz and throughout Spain, is preparing to welcome the best golfers in the country in the Spanish Men’s Professional Championship, to be held from December 12 to 15. This prestigious tournament is supported by Loterías y Apuestas del Estado and promises to be a first class show in a unique environment.

With two 18-hole courses designed by the legendary Severiano Ballesteros, Real Novo Sancti Petri is no stranger to the excitement of major competitions. The club has hosted important events, such as the recent Challenge de España in 2020, 2021 and 2022, and the Challenge de Cádiz in 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2024. These tournaments have consolidated its reputation as one of the most challenging and spectacular venues in European golf.
Memories of an unforgettable duel
The history of the Spanish Men’s Professional Championship at Real Novo Sancti Petri dates back to 1990, when Santiago Luna won a memorable duel against Severiano Ballesteros, the Cantabrian genius who had designed the course years before. That victory by three strokes was engraved in the memory of the fans as one of the great feats of Spanish golf.
Tournament agenda and previous activities
– Monday, December 9: Pre-qualifying round (if necessary).
– Tuesday, December 10: Training day.
– Wednesday, December 11: Pro-Am Day, where professionals will share the course with amateurs and sponsors.
– Thursday, December 12 to Sunday, December 15: Official competition of the Spanish Men’s Professional Championship.
