Golf is an activity that is constantly evolving and working to achieve greater sustainability in all areas. In Spain, golf has claimed its triple environmental, economic and social sustainability at the IV Business Meeting of the Spanish Golf Courses Association in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Commitment to sustainability
During the event, the importance of sustainability in the golf sector was discussed and the work being done to achieve a balance between economic development, respect for the environment and social integration was highlighted.
Areas of work for greater sustainability
In this regard, Spanish golf is working in different areas to achieve greater sustainability. On the environmental front, sustainable water and energy management, biodiversity conservation and the reduction of waste and emissions are being promoted.
On the economic level, work is being done to achieve greater profitability and efficiency in the management of golf courses and in the promotion of golf tourism. In addition, we are demanding greater fiscal equity and greater consideration of golf as an economic activity in Spain.
Finally, at the social level, the integration and accessibility of golf is being promoted for all people, regardless of age, gender, physical ability or socioeconomic status.
Commitment to a more sustainable and responsible future
In short, Spanish golf is committed to sustainable and responsible management that allows the sector to develop in balance with the environment and society. The claim of its triple environmental, economic and social sustainability is a sign of the sector’s commitment to a more sustainable and responsible future. We, Real Novo Sancti Petri are no exception to this commitment.
