The challenge for golfers is intensified with the addition of the renovated 6th hole, a demanding par 4 with dogleg left and six strategically placed bunkers, where a precise tee shot with long iron or 3-wood will be decisive, and which this year will be especially significant as it will be the first event of Héctor LLanza, the new director of the golf course since January 2025.
The course arrives in optimal conditions, the result of the meticulous work of the team led by Nicolás, the club’s greenkeeper, whose efforts ensure an impeccable surface for the competition. In addition, the Cadiz Challenge maintains a remarkable reputation for the high level of play shown in previous editions, with a current record of 63 strokes, achieved by Sam Hutsby and Filippo Celli in 2023.

This tournament has historically served as a springboard to the DP World Tour, boosting the careers of emerging golfers, who will seek to repeat and surpass past feats, including Kristof Ulenaers’ record 19-under-par victory in 2021 or Sam Hutsby’s thrilling playoff win in 2023.
Organized by JGolf, the event is sponsored and supported by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, Royal Andalusian Golf Federation, Consejo Superior de Deportes, Junta de Andalucía and Hotel Planner Tour, as well as renowned brands such as Iberostar Beachfront Resorts, Kyocera, Allianz, Mahou San Miguel, Solán de Cabras, AON, Halcón Viajes, Volvo, Titleist, Viñas Familia Gil, Maximiliano Jabugo, Licor Mediterráneo and Viamed.
